Recently, the Chinese government announced a significant expansion of its visa exemption policy for citizens of several countries. Starting in June 2025, this policy will be extended to important partners in Latin America, including Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Uruguay. Additionally, key Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations such as Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain will also benefit from this exemption, joining the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, thus achieving “full coverage” for GCC countries. In addition, a mutual visa exemption agreement with Uzbekistan will come into effect.
